Finders Keepers By J. J. Dibenedetto

FindersKeepers 1,400 miles. 3 countries 2 men she can't trust. What could go wrong?                 FINDERS KEEPERS is the first book in the new Jane Barnaby Adventures series:
It should have been a simple job. All archaeology student Jane Barnaby had to do was pick up a box her professor needed and deliver it to him at his dig site, along with his new car. Yes, his office was in Oxfordshire, and his dig site was in Spain, a trip of 1,400 miles across three countries and two bodies of water. Still, it should have been simple. And it was, until Jane discovered she picked up the wrong box by mistake. Not the one with boring pottery samples, but instead the one with priceless ancient Egyptian artifacts. The one that a team of international art thieves is after. Now she’s chasing – and being chased by – the thieves. And she’s picked up a pair of passengers who claim they can help her outwit them, get her professor’s pottery back and return the artifacts to their rightful owner. If only she could figure out which one of them is working with the thieves and which one she can trust in this high-stakes game of finders keepers.
It's available everywhere eBooks are sold: Amazon (Kindle or Paperback) Smashwords Barnes & Noble (Nook or Paperback) Apple iBookstore Kobo   James047 About the author J.J. (James) Dibenedetto's fans would swear he's got a sixth sense when it comes to seeing into the minds of others and often wonder if his stories could possibly be fiction. He enjoys suspending disbelief with suspenseful paranormal tales that are a perfect blend of reality meets fantasy. His popular Dream Series continues to delight readers with each and every exciting installment. Born in Yonkers, New York, he currently resides in Arlington Virginia with his beautiful wife and a cat he is sure has taken full advantage of its nine lives. When it comes to the cat, he often wonders, but then again it might just be his imagination. You can follow him at his website, on Facebook and on Twitter. And you can find all his books (including the complete Dream Series) on Amazon and on audiobook at Audible.com   Here's an excerpt from Finders Keepers:
The thieves simply made a mistake. Whether Tom had put his box in the wrong room, or whether the thieves had gotten their wires crossed, who knew? She’d had trouble reading Professor Welldon’s writing; she hadn’t been sure if she was meant to go to Room 16 or Room 18 herself. It hadn’t mattered because the thieves had already gotten there and made the choice for her. “When they finally got where they were going, they opened it up, and you can imagine their surprise.” Jane noted the vagueness there; she assumed Alex knew exactly where that was and, for whatever reason, didn’t want to say. She didn’t challenge him; she kept up her happy façade instead, and he went on. “They knew they couldn’t go back and steal the right box, but they had the label on your pottery, they knew where it was supposed to go.” “They’re headed to Mallorca!” Jane couldn’t help herself; the words just poured out. “They’re going to wait there until I show up and try to trade, the pottery for the artifacts!” She knew she’d said too much. Alex’s eyes lit up, just for an instant, when she mentioned Mallorca. That was something, obviously, he hadn’t known. But he caught himself almost immediately, and so did she. She wondered if he knew that she knew he was putting on an act. She wondered if he knew that she knew that he knew she was, too. And she wondered if she had any aspirin in her purse, because that train of thought was giving her a headache.
Jane Last, but not least, to celebrate the launch of FINDERS KEEPERS, I'm giving away a signed paperback copy of either this new book, or any one of my Dream Series novels (winner's choice). For your chance to win, just click HERE to enter!)

My Review Of Finding Lyla By Cate Beauman

Finding Lyla (The Bodyguards Of L.A. County #10)

Principal Dancer Lyla Markovik-Avery is always on the go. Grueling practices and endless performances rule her busy days—and things are about to get more hectic. Russia is rolling out the red carpet for their beloved star, despite the string of violent terrorist attacks that have rocked the nation.

Bodyguard Collin Michaels’ life is falling apart. His long-time relationship recently ended. He’s trying to start over, but that’s easier said than done. Luckily, Collin has a new assignment on the horizon: keeping a beautiful ballerina safe for the next three weeks.

Collin finds comfort in Lyla’s easy friendship, but that all changes after a night out on the town. Simple feelings become complicated—something Collin can’t afford, especially when tragedy strikes and Collin realizes Lyla’s caught in the middle of a dangerous plot for revenge.

Collin and Lyla are forced to flee. They need to reach the border before it’s too late, but the odds are stacked against them in a country that wants them dead. With time running out, Collin formulates a risky plan that might be their only chance of making it out alive

Goodreads I Amazon

My Review Of Finding Lyla. Lovable characters. I think I fell in love with these characters before Lyla and Collin fell in love. Collin is Lyla bodyguard hired to play her boyfriend. These characters didn't plan to fall in love, but they did. This story is full of romance, danger, mystery and sadness.

Collin settled beneath the covers on his temporary bed as the dim glow of city lights radiated through the windows. He reached out, grabbing the remote off the coffee table he’d pushed off to the side, and flipped through several channels, stopping on SportsCenter. Scores and updates ticked by on the bottom of the screen, and he moved on, not all that interested in hockey stats.
He stopped again when the live footage from Saint Petersburg, Russia caught his attention. With the volume on mute, he searched for the closed caption button and sat up, reading the news report while the station switched back and forth between the newscaster and images of the police surrounding a trolleybus in the middle of a downtown street. The reporter spoke of a bomb discovered during the busy morning rush hour, mere miles from the plaza where dozens had been killed on New Year’s Eve. Luckily a citizen had been paying attention, and the explosive device had been deactivated, stopping another disaster.
Early reports were suggesting that the same rebel group responsible for the December thirty-first bombing, Chechen Freedom, had attempted to strike again. The news segment switched to snippets of the video released weeks ago, shortly after the slaughter of innocent civilians, where the masked men promised more violence in retaliation for The Federation killing one of their leaders. The man pointed at the camera, vowing to continue with his plans to destroy Russia until the regime relented and gave the Chechens back their country.
Sighing, Collin rubbed at his jaw. Why did he feel like he was walking into a losing situation? Everyday there was something new going on over there. If it wasn’t bomb threats and anti-American rallies, it was anti-Putin demonstrations outside the Kremlin walls, which often ended with tear gas and riot gear. And he and Lyla were only hours away from their late-afternoon flight.
The issues in Saint Petersburg weren’t necessarily one of his concerns. The city was a good nine hours away from their destination. It was the possibility of terrorist attacks in Moscow and Russia’s discord with the United States in general that had him on edge. The fact that Lyla was a dual citizen of two countries at odds had the potential to work for her…or very much against her. Only time would tell which way things were going to go, and they would be along for the ride while they waited to figure it out.
Falling For Sarah (The Bodyguards Of L.A. County #2)

Widow Sarah Johnson struggled to pick up the pieces after her life was ripped apart. After two years of grieving, she’s found contentment in her thriving business as photographer to Hollywood’s A-list and in raising her angel-faced daughter, Kylee... until bodyguard and long-time friend Ethan Cooke changes everything with a searing moonlight kiss.

Sarah’s world turns upside down as she struggles with her unexpected attraction to Ethan and the guilt of betraying her husband’s memory. But when blue roses and disturbing notes start appearing on her doorstep, she has no choice but to lean on Ethan as he fights to save her from a stalker that won’t stop until he has what he prizes most.

Justice For Abby (The Bodyguards Of L.A. County #6)

Fashion designer Abigail Harris has been rescued, but her nightmare is far from over. Determined to put her harrowing ordeal behind her and move on, she struggles to pick up the pieces of her life while eluding the men who want her dead.
The Mid-Atlantic Sex Ring is in ruins after Abby’s interviews with the police. The organization is eager to exact their revenge before her testimony dismantles the multi-million dollar operation for good.

Abby’s safety rests in the hands of former US Marshal, Jerrod Quinn. Serious-minded and obsessed with protocol, Ethan Cooke Security’s newest agent finds himself dealing with more than he bargains for when he agrees to take on his beautiful, free-spirited client.
As the trial date nears, Abby’s case takes a dangerous turn. Abby and Jerrod soon discover themselves in a situation neither of them expect while Jerrod fights to stop the ring from silencing Abby once and for all.

Saving Sophie (The Bodyguards Of L.A. County #7)

Jewelry designer Sophie Burke has fled Maine for the anonymity of the big city. She’s starting over with a job she tolerates and a grungy motel room she calls home on the wrong side of town, but anything is better than the nightmare she left behind.
Stone McCabe is Ethan Cooke Security’s brooding bad boy more interested in keeping to himself than anything else—until the gorgeous blond with haunted violet eyes catches his attention late one rainy night.
Stone reluctantly gives Sophie a hand only to quickly realize that the shy beauty with the soft voice and pretty smile has something to hide. Tangled up in her secrets, Stone offers Sophie a solution that has the potential to free her from her problems once and for all—or jeopardize both of their lives.

About the Author: Lisa Marie Schinski
I was born and raised in Quakertown, Pennsylvania. I currently reside in King of Prussia. I wrote the story about the Sore Prickly Bear when I was 8 years old. My teacher, Mrs. Ulrich encouraged me to write and also gave me the young author's award. I found this book after my mom passed away last year. I had a great childhood but when I wrote this book, my parents got divorced, we moved and I changed schools. A lot of changes for an 8 year old. So I guess I felt like Fuzzy.

Around October 2015, I took the book into work to show my friends because this past year and a half has been very hard for me and my family. I knew when I showed my friends, they would laugh and cry because my life was again Fuzzy's. My friends, Denice, Dee, Candace, Rick, Gina, Tara, Nancy, Tamara and Gina encouraged me to publish this book. So here I am!

I am now 46 years old. I have a great job, great friends, and great family. But there are still days that feel very bad and very unfair.

My goal for publishing this book is to help children understand that bad things happen and bad days happen. But when we have friends and family in our life to help us laugh at ourselves, we can heal and move forward. Everyone has a bad day, week, month or even years. My dream is to share this story for children to know they are not alone and everyone has a bad day.
I am so grateful for my family and friends.

"That'th what I thaid" was published in February 2016. Lauren Panco inspired me to write this story. It is for children who have a hard time with their R's and S's. I think many of us have! I want children to know it's ok to sound different and with practice, it changes. Don't let anyone make fun of you. We are all perfect the way we are!

Release Day Blitz Forgiving Nancy By Muriel Garcia

Book - Forgiving Nancy, book five in the last hangman MC series
Author - Muriel Garcia
Photographer - Eric Battershell
Model - Robert Simmons
Release Day Blitz - March 22
Hosted by Hooked on books  & Cherry0Blossoms Promotions

One man.
One woman.
A past full of lies.

***

That girl, that special girl. The clichéd ‘One Who Got Away’ except she didn’t get away. She was stolen from me.

We started off as neighbours but quickly turned into something more. In what felt like a blink of an eye, I found myself in love and then boom. She was gone.
After that, my life went down a dark and lonely trail. I joined the club my parents ran from and kept my heart shut off from everyone, never entertaining the thought of a relationship. If I couldn’t have her, I didn’t want anyone.

I’ve been in love and have been loved but all too soon it was stolen from me. More accurately, I was stolen from it and my life hasn’t been the same since.
To an outsider, I had it all: money, nice house, friends, anything a seventeen-year-old could want, but inside I was dying. I hated my life with my parents until him and I hate the life I’m forced to live now but I just can’t bring myself to end it. Not if there is a possibility that he is out there and that one day I might have the chance to see him again.

What happens when Nancy and Bennett are reunited once again?
Will Nancy’s past ruin the still present chemistry between them or is it already too late?
Will Bennett be able to see past her secret and find a way to forgive Nancy?

Muriel Garcia was born and raised in Belgium. She started writing a little over a year ago and never thought she would ever publish; reading and writing weren’t her favorite things to do in high school.
After one of her friends gave her a challenge – the next time they would attend a book signing, she would be a signing author (it did happen!) – she started to take writing a lot more seriously and never looked back. She’s enjoyed every second of it and the friends she’s made along the way.
She loves music, tattoos—especially on hot men, traveling, and cooking. She has always had an overly imaginative and creative mind but never thought of putting words to paper. Now she couldn’t imagine not writing stories that are near and dear to her heart.

Interview With Thomas Patrick Henry From Family Secret

On my blog today I have my good friend Thomas Patrick Henry from Family Secret.

 1.       What is your name?
Thomas Patrick Henry.  Most people call me Tom. My mom was the only one to call me by my full name.

2.   How do you envision your future?
Hopefully, demon free, but I've got a feeling that won’t happen. I plan to reopen my mom’s antique shop the Cat’s Meow. Work there for a while.

3.  Do you believe in magic? Why? Or why not?
When my mom first gave me the amulet and told me it might have magical powers, I thought she was crazy.  I didn't believe in magic. Magic was something for little kids to believe in. But I was proven wrong when I came face to face with a demon. Now I’m a firm believer in magic.

4.  What is your favorite sport?
Baseball. There is no doubt baseball is my favorite. Go Cubs. When I was young I used to play little league. And one summer I went to baseball camp which was lots of fun.

5.  Do you have any hobbies?
I like to read and collect comic books. Also I have a pretty good bobble head collection. Mostly baseball and basketball players.

6.  What in your past would you like to forget?
My mother’s murder. That is something that will haunt me the rest of my life because she was killed by demons.

7.  Are you lucky?
Yes. I have good friends and a family that loves me.

8.  What makes you sad?
Death. It leaves a hole in your heart.  You know their spirit is still with you watching over you, but you miss their physical presence.

9.  What is your pet peeve?
Being called a kid, especially by adults. I feel when they call me kid they are looking down on me like I don’t know anything because I’m young.

10. Do you have a girlfriend?
Yes. Her name is Sarah.  Her, Rob, and I have been summer best friends for a long time. And then suddenly the magic of love happened.

Blog Tour Luca: You Will Be Mine By Jaimie Roberts

Title: Luca: You Will Be Mine
Authors: Jaimie Roberts
Genre: Adult Fiction, Erotica, Romantic Comedy
Event - Blog Tour
Hosted by Hooked on book's & Cherry0Blossoms Promotions

Murderous thoughts. That is what I had once Isabella walked through the door and revealed to me who she was. I needed an escape. An escape from my thoughts, an escape from the hurt... an escape from... him.
I was a broken woman, but I was never going to break my resolve. I grew up being a fighter, because I had to. No man could ever bring me down... Not even Luca.
But, I had to admit, I never thought my heart would break as much as it did that day. Of course, I fled, but I was a fool to think he would ever let me go. He always told me I was his... no matter what the cost. He was determined to keep me, regardless of the lengths he had to go to reach his goal. He was like a moth to my flame, a tattoo carved into my heart. I could never escape his pull.
I may have evaded him, but I knew it was just a matter of time. However, once he did catch up with me nothing could have prepared us for what happened next.

GET TO KNOW YOU INTERVIEW

Tell us is there anything about you that people don't already know?
I love shoes. My husband calls me a centipede.
Roughly 11 years ago I met my sister for the very first time. The reunion was a rather emotional, but fulfilling one.

Your books are so emotional. How long does it take for you to be able to get the characters out of your mind and move on to the next?

Sometimes it's hard to get your head out of a book once it's finished. Deviant actually made me ill. My blood pressure went down so much that I almost fainted at work once. Not nice. :( In the end I had to take a deep breath and move onto the next project. I like to build scenes up in my head before I start writing them down. It makes it easier to flow that way.

Are the names of the characters in your novels important?
Sometimes the hardest part of writing a book is choosing the character's names. I think they're important because a good, strong name can have an inpact on the way you feel about the character. That's what I feel, anyway.

What are the most important attributes to remaining sane as a writer?
Coffee, sweets, and wine. Did I mention wine?

What is the most demeaning thing said about you as a writer?
I tend not to dwell on the bad things that are said. Luckily, I haven't had anything too bad that it has stuck with me. I count myself extremely lucky to have met some wonderful readers out there. I welcome reviews good and bad, and also welcome any people who have reviewed my books negatively to contact me. I seriously don't bite... well, not that much. ;)

How do you react to a bad review of one of your books?
If they're constructive, I welcome them. I once had a reviewer rate a book of mine 3 stars and emailed me to apologise. I had read the review and told her there was nothing to apolgise for. The review was constructive and well thought out. It's these reviews that aid me in becoming a better writer. It's the "Bash the Author" reviews I get upset about. There's just no need for it.

What was the hardest part of writing your book?
Maintaining a flow. Sometimes I will sit there and my mind goes completely blank. I hate it when that happens. :( The other part is writing scenes and then looking back on them thinking, are people going to get bored reading this?

Did you learn anything from writing your book and what was it?
That I can write emotionally difficult scenes. In Luca 2, something happens to Clara that hit a nerve with me. I cried writing it, and then cried reading it over again. I didn't enjoy it, but if other people have the same emotions that I did then at least I know I have done the best I could regarding that scene.

Is there a message in your novel that you want readers to grasp?
I suppose only that in life you have to be grateful for the things that you have. Sometimes bad things can happen, but when it does you have to think to yourself that there are people in a much worse situation than me.

Have you ever read or seen yourself as a character in a book or a movie?
Not really. I have read and watched characters in a movie and thought, I wish I could be like her.
I love the covers. What made you choose them? What gave you the idea?
I went hunting for a hot Italian model. I found one and asked my designer if she could work her magic. I explained that having the castle somewhere on the cover was important, as it was important to my character.

Who designs your covers?
I don't think I want to tell you because I want to keep her to myself! ;) Only
